My camera has always been the tool that allows me to quiet the chaotic pace of a busy life. 
 
I still remember loading film into my camera for the first time as a young boy, just 11 years-old, and capturing pictures of a family vacation. The anticipation built—no instant satisfaction in those days. The process took weeks, snapping the shutter, returning home, gathering the film canisters, taking them to the store to have them developed, eagerly awaiting their return. Then, finally, I got the processed photos and accompanied joy of a story retold. Those images, captured decades ago, live on in the pages of old, tattered albums—transporting me back, bringing memories to life!
 
It’s magic, an entire time and place, stilled by the activation of the shutter. In an instant a scene is captured, frozen in time, creating a lasting memory.
 
Photography has changed dramatically in the past 40 years, the systems used, how an image is recorded, developed, and viewed, but the essence of the art remains the same.  It is the joy of capturing a once in a lifetime moment that feeds my soul.
